Back from the hiatus
Sorry for the delay but back from vaca now and finals are over so let's get some riding in. The next ride will be this Thursday 8/15. We'll do an evening ride around 5p leaving from the Stop and Shop parking lot on West Boylston St on the West Boylston line. We'll meet on the left hand side of the parking lot. Plan on a 15-ish mile loop up and around Wachusett Reservoir. The big ride plan is in the works. It looks like the date will be 9/29 and it'll be a 60-ish mile loop around the Quabbin Reservoir. Nice and easy ride to enjoy the scenery with a couple stops along the way. If we can a bunch of definite riders we can work out BBQ after its over with probable access to a shower. Family is definitely wanted at the BBQ and friends too. Plan on a day of just relaxing and enjoying life!!!!!!

Next ride Sunday 7/7
The ride last Thursday Sara and I tried our like with the rain and won out. It was a little misty at times but we were able to get a good ride in. For the next ride we are going to go a little longer this time. The ride will start at Long Pond Boat Ramp at 9:00 am again. The official address for this is 2 Crawford Road but you will see the entrance on 122 just before Crawford Rd. This ride will be just over 42 miles through the back part of Central MA. Headed to rte 148 to New Braintree then over to Hardwick and taking 32A up into New Salem where we will pick up 122 again and head back. This ride is just over 42 miles with a couple climbs. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I apologize for not getting the maps posted there seems to be a glitch either with mapmyride or the blogspot in transferring it.

Great ride!!!!!
Yesterday Seth, Steve and I went out and turned the 25 miler into just a little under 30 so we could do a great decent. We went up 122 towards Barre, then turned onto 148 for N. Brookfield and back to 122 via 67 and 32. For this week I'll post the route in a couple days but lets plan on a Thursday evening ride.

Next ride
So the last ride was short notice and consisted on just me, so I took a circuitous 13 mile route home. The next ride will be this Saturday at 10 a.m. looking at a Wachusett Reservoir loop or if people let me know we can do a Lake Quinsig loop for a flatter ride. Tomorrow I'll post the route. Just leave a comment if you have any suggestions.

Thursday ride
Hi all we are going to kick this season off with a 12.8 mile ride from Wells St. Around Lake Quinsigamond and back to Wells. Not too bad mostly flat except at the end. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the route for Thursday. I am looking at a 3:30 start. Pass the word and let's try and get a good group to head out. See you there.
EMS Memorial bike ride
Last wed. WEMS hosted the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride for breakfast as they came through Worcester on their way to Philly. It was great to ride with Steve, Linda and Scott, as they joined me in my insanity to ride 50-ish miles with only a couple weeks training. WPD was amazing help blocking a lane on route 20 for us and escorting us all the way to the Charlton line with Auburn PD's assistance too. We finished the day in Hazardville CT after a 3k feet elevation and 55 miles.

We are back!!!!!!
After a long reprieve we are going to try and start up weekly rides for our little community of prehospital, hospital and first responder group. The goal this year is try and keep the ride growing and have an end of year barbecue at the end of a long ride, say a Quabbin loop. Pass the word and I will be posting stuff in all the break rooms to try and drum up riders.
